At Gadget And Pet, we are committed to getting your order to you as efficiently and securely as possible. This policy outlines our shipping procedures and timelines within South Africa.
2. Order Processing & Dispatch Time
Our Goal: We aim to process and prepare your order for dispatch as efficiently as possible.
Items Held In Stock: For items readily available in our own inventory, orders are typically dispatched the business day after your payment has successfully reflected in our account.
Items Sourced From Suppliers: Please note that to offer a wider range, some items listed on our website are sourced directly from our trusted suppliers upon order confirmation. If your order includes such items, please allow an additional 5 to 7 business days for processing before your order is dispatched from Gadget And Pet. This additional time is required for the item(s) to arrive at our facility from the supplier before we can ship them to you.
Shipping Days: Regardless of the processing time, shipments are dispatched from our facility Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in South Africa. The estimated delivery timeframe (see Section 5) begins after the order has been dispatched.
3. Shipping Methods & Carriers
Standard Courier Delivery: We partner with reputable courier services including The Courier Guy, Aramex, CourierIT, and Fastway Couriers. To ensure the best service for your location, we select the most appropriate carrier based on factors like delivery speed, cost-effectiveness, and destination reliability.
PUDO (Pick Up Drop Off) Locker Service: For added flexibility, we offer shipping via PUDO. This service allows you to collect your parcel from a secure locker location near you, 24/7. If you would like to use the PUDO option, please contact us before or immediately after placing your order to confirm availability for your items and location. Additional details may be required.
4. Shipping Costs
Flat Rate: A standard, nationwide flat shipping fee of R110 applies to all orders that do not qualify for free shipping.
Free Shipping: We offer complimentary free shipping on orders that meet both of the following criteria:
The total order value is R1000 or more.
The total volumetric weight of the packaged order is 3KG or less.
5. Estimated Delivery Times
Standard Estimate: Once dispatched, delivery typically takes between 2 to 5 business days.
Please Note: This timeframe is an estimate provided by our courier partners. Actual delivery times may vary depending on the specific courier service used, your exact location (outlying areas may take longer), and unforeseen circumstances beyond our or the courier’s control. The delivery estimate begins after your order has been dispatched (following payment confirmation and any applicable processing time as outlined in Section 2).
6. Order Tracking
Once your order is packed and dispatched with the courier, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number.
You can use this tracking number on the respective courier company’s website to monitor the progress of your delivery.
7. Packaging
We take care to ensure your items are securely packed using appropriate protective materials (such as cardboard boxes and padding) to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
8. Shipping Address Accuracy
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address.
Gadget And Pet cannot be held responsible for delays or non-delivery resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer. Any additional costs incurred for re-delivery due to address errors will be for the customer’s account.
9. International Shipping
Currently, Gadget And Pet only ships to addresses within the Republic of South Africa. We do not offer international shipping at this time.
